We are a trusted partner to:
Reduce the complexity of complying with state and federal regulations requiring state license verification of healthcare providers and organizations before engaging with them (PDMA, DQSA, Aggregate Spend, CIAs).
Ensure clean and accurate customer HCP and HCO master data by reducing duplicate records, missing key identifiers and eliminating manual entry across applications.
Implement solutions to proactively manage the ongoing status of HCP and HCO data attributes for compliance, sales, marketing, and product distribution.
Provide the most accurate demographic data such as the practicing specialty, address, designation, and name criteria via automated and data stewardship services.
Create and enhance compliance programs by offering standalone services like policy drafting and monitoring assistance to multi-year complete program buildouts.

Position Summary:

As a Compliance Intern, you will complete research assignments, draft and revise deliverables, and complete other assignments as needed related to pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturer compliance obligations (e.g., Transparency Reporting at the US Federal, State, Local, and International level, State Drug Price Reporting, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute). You will primarily work independently day-to-day with support of the MedPro Compliance Advisory Team. This role will have an in office requirement with the potential to work remotely with Zoom video calls, as needed. This role has the potential to expand into a part-time position during the school year or a full-time role following graduation.

Work Expectations
• 10-12 Weeks: 40 Hours per week.

Salary Range
• Hourly; This position is not approved for overtime.

Internship Duration
• Academic year summer break with a potential extension.

Benefits
• This position is not eligible for benefits.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Research, analyze, and summarize international, federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and industry codes.
  • Draft clear and concise work product including emails, PowerPoint presentations, and memos.
  • Work efficiently independently and in a team setting, fast-paced environment.

Education/Certification
• Currently enrolled in Law Degree or Advanced Degree Program.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong research and writing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new skills and technologies
  • Interest in pharmaceutical and medical device compliance programs
  • Self-motivated, works with little or minimal oversight

Primary Work Location
• Hybrid, in office requirements with the expectation to attend live meetings in Mt. Arlington, NJ office.

Physical Requirements
  • The individual is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer screen and extensive reading. The individual in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. The individual must be able to remain in a stationary position 70% of the time.
