The Plant Manager must develop and implement methods of manufacturing processes to reduce costs and improve the quality of the product.
Must drive effective utilization of plant resources including people and equipment.
Must improve production, quality, safety, and labor utilization throughout the facility.
Partner with functional departments in the implementation of all continuous improvement activities.
Apply lean manufacturing principles to design, specify, and validate world-class manufacturing processes to achieve organizational goals.
The Plant Manager must direct and manage maintenance of material replenishment methods, quality standards, and performance metrics.
Plan, direct, and coordinate all manufacturing operations of production, machinery, processing, and packaging departments.
Must ensure that all production line schedules are in accordance with plant capabilities, customer requirements, economic performance, and planning.
The Plant Manager is responsible for budgeting and managing manufacturing cost structures by developing and maintaining operational expenses within budget allowance and looks for cost-reduction opportunities.
Document protocols and ensure that all operations records are properly maintained and reviewed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The Plant Manager must hold a bachelor's degree in operations management, business, engineering, or related field.
Must hold a minimum of 5+ years of plant management experience from the food and beverage manufacturing/ production industry.
Must have a minimum of 5 years of lean manufacturing/continuous improvement experience. Certification is a plus.
