Job Description:

CLS is looking for experienced Due Diligence Agents in Houston, TX for an in-house position. This position is responsible for document review and summarization of specified documents pertaining to an existing project.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Scans documents and manages project files and documents.
  • Reviews documents including easements, permits, licenses, and other agreements.
  • Research property ownership, provide high-level investigation into liens, trusts, entitlements, and advise our clients regarding their options.
  • Executes the input of data concerning document terms and conditions into specified reporting medium.
  • May be responsible for review of employee timesheets.

Accountability: This position is responsible for working with all office or corporate staff, ensuring a healthy work environment and the satisfaction of all team members. Employee must be able to work effectively and professionally with project staff as well as client liaisons. Employee must maintain strict confidentiality of company information and company records.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Requirements:
  • Must have 2+ years of Due Diligence experience.
  • Must have experience with document review, plotting, title, and organization.
  • Must be able to work on-site in Downtown Houston, TX (Monday - Wednesday).

Experience:
  • Strong general office skills including file management.
  • Well-developed communication skills (phone etiquette, grammar and personal interaction.)
  • Knowledge of pipeline, electric and/or utilities ROW records, administrative support documents and records
  • Understanding of database input and management.
  • Working knowledge of title files and related documents a plus
  • Software skills with all Microsoft Office applications, with an emphasis on Word, Excel, and database maintenance.

Education:
  • High School Diploma Required
  • College Degree Preferred

Licensing:
  • Must have valid driver's license.
  • Must maintain minimum automobile liability insurance in the amount of $100,000/$300,000/$100,000.

Language Skills:
  • Requires excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Must be able to write clearly and concisely to prepare reports, specifications and correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, percentages, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.

Other Skills and Abilities:
  • Familiarity with general PC operation.
  • Ability to learn new computer programs rapidly.
  • Capacity to be flexible, multi-task and maintain a great attitude.
  • Ability to be a team player.
