The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) provides transportation services for 150,000-200,000 customers on a typical weekday, or about 45 million rides annually, through a variety of services. In 2016, RTA provided 18.1 million vehicle miles of service on all modes -- HealthLine, bus, Paratransit, light rail, heavy rail, and vanpools. The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA) located in Cleveland, Ohio, is searching for an innovative, collaborative, and self-driven candidate excited about our city, our public transit system and the important services we provide to our customers.

Responsibilities:
  • All aspects of compensation processes and practices including job description development, job evaluation, job analysis, merit increase processing and adjustments, job classification analysis hiring selection tool validation and implementation, salary surveying, salary administration an analysis for union and non-union employee groups, employee retention analysis, and overall human resources data analysis and report writing.
  • Develops and maintains tracking systems for various human resources data.
  • Analyzes labor markets and pay practices; designs and prepares compensation reports.
  • Collaborates with labor unions to negotiate and administer collective bargaining agreements.
  • Administers and analyzes performance of Total Rewards, Wellness Incentive, and Employee Recognition programs.
  • Must have a strong background in Microsoft tools such as manipulating reports and spreadsheets within Excel and internal reporting databases.
  • Interacts with, contributes to, and performs other human resources functions in the areas of Employment/Recruitment, Benefits, HRIS, Training & Employee Development, and Labor & Employee Relations as may be required.

Must Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field with three to five years work experience in roles related to compensation, benefits, HR analytics or similar area.
  • Experience with job analysis, salary surveys, compensation program design, benefits administration, and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills, proficiency in compensation software and tools, understanding of labor laws, excellent communication, and attention detail.
  • Applicants must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, extensive experience utilizing human resource information systems and MS Office Suite/365.
  • Oracle HRMS experience is preferred.

$68,732.00 to $75,415.00 - Salary is commensurate with experience.
