This position will report to the Engineering Supervisor. The candidate will join a dynamic engineering group and carry out technical assignments of substantial variety and complexity. The candidate can expect to work with customers, engineers, and electricians to solve problems to provide the customer with a complete functional system.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform commissioning and startup of PLC control panels and instruments
Programming systems during the design phase is possible
Install, replace, and calibrate instruments in process systems using hand tools, test equipment and established procedures
Prepare schematic drawings, sketches, and reports to reflect changes or alterations made in instruments, circuits, and control panels
Provide accurate documentation of work performed for each project
Provide the customer with training specific to their project
Assemble and modify control panels according to plans
Follow safety policies and procedures
Perform duties assigned by and under the supervision of a project manager or engineer
QUALIFICATIONS
Technical training or education in mechatronics or PLC control systems. PLC programming experience a plus
Ability to learn and apply technical training to tasks quickly and accurately
An understanding of PLC control systems and electrical wiring principles
Capable of interpreting key documents including control panel drawings, electrical schematics, and P&ID's
Technically oriented and mechanically inclined
Current and valid United States driver's license with a clean driving record
Proven track record of successful completion of projects involving control system commissioning, software integration, calibration, or troubleshooting
Familiarity of the construction industry, especially electrical and controls fields
Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
Strong written communication skills with a keen eye for details in documents
Familiarization with Microsoft Office products required
Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required
Physical Requirements:
Able to climb a 2 story ladder
Can walk a mile in 20 minutes
Be able to cover, on foot, a reasonable distance on a job site
