Sr. Infrastructure Engineer at The Judge Group Inc. in Chicago, Illinois

Job Description:

Location: Chicago, IL

Salary: $160,000.00 USD Annually - $205,000.00 USD Annually

Description: Our client is currently seeking a Sr. Infrastructure Engineer in downtown Chicago, IL. This is a full-time position with a base + bonus compensation structure. This is a hybrid work schedule with 2-3 days in the office, and the rest remote.


This position is crucial to ensuring the company's IT infrastructure is performing at its optimal performance. The role requires a deep understanding of infrastructure management and strong technical and leadership skills. You will be the team lead and ensure projects are done on time and meeting objectives as well as supporting other team members by mentoring and collaborating.



This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Own the organization's IT infrastructure, including; servers, storage, virtualization platforms, and related systems.


• Lead the design, implementation, and administration of Azure VMWare Services and migration of VMs to the cloud.


• Optimize EMC storage systems.


• Monitor and optimize the disaster recovery process including data storage and backup.


• Ensure compliance with security standards, data privacy, and disaster recovery policies.


• Lead and mentor a team of infrastructure engineers

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience with a large data center migration is highly preferred.


• Experience in infrastructure management.


• Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with VMWare including vSphere, vCenter, VCF, VxRail, NSX-T, HCX, vSAN, VDI, etc.


• Extensive experience with Active Directory, group policies and security management.


• Proficiency in SMTP relay services and exchange server.


• Knowledge of Azure services and cloud infrastructure.


• Experience with EMC/DELL storage systems.


• Experience with data storage optimization, and backup and recovery strategies.

Education & Certifications:

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field OR equivalent work experience


• Certifications in relevant technologies like VMWare, Microsoft, EMC, etc are nice to have


• At least 8+ years of hands-on work experience within infrastructure engineering
