Location: Goodlettsville, TN

Description: Our client is currently seeking a Production Supervisor for their packaging manufacturing facility in the greater Hendersonville / Goodlettsville TN Area, just north of Nashville . This is one of the companies flagship facilities that has recently been upgraded with the most modern equipment in Flexible Packaging and Flexographic Printing Manufacturing. This company has a genuine, people centric culture with low turnover, operating within high ethical standards. The facility is climate controlled. They develop and produce some of the most eco-friendly and sustainable, award winning packaging materials on the market today.

This job will have the following responsibilities:

• 
  


• Oversees implementation of procedures and monitors quality, production, and waste.


• Maintain goals of machine production, quality, waste, plant safety, and cleanliness.


• Complete final job approvals on daily production runs.


• Coordinate routine maintenance checks of machines for preventative maintenance and repairs needed and writes maintenance work orders if necessary to ensure efficient operation of machinery.


• Communication of production schedules established by Production Planner with previous and following shift.


• Check unavailable roll stock report on a daily basis


• Conducts monthly safety and quality meetings with employees.


• Oversees and maintain upkeep of production equipment


• Communicates with Customer Service Department to answer questions on production capabilities.


• Assists operators when needed in maintaining and adjusting equipment.


• Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality in ones' area of responsibility and continually monitor them to ensure they are effective.


• Attends supervisors' meeting with Plant Manager to discuss complaints, quality, monthly goals, and other concerns.
  
  


• Confirmation of job specifications on production runs in process.
  
  


• Ensure that materials are staged for production for oncoming shift.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree Preferred


• 3+ Years of Manufacturing Experience - Preferably in Building Materials, Plastics, Paper, Flexible Poly Films, Film Extrusion, Bag Making and/or Flexographic / Wide Web Printing


• 2+ Years of Supervisor Experience


• Ability to Manage Multiple Tasks


• Knowledge of GMP's, Safety Standards and Lean / 5s Principles
