Job Description - Staff Physician


Under the position of Staff Physician, the Chief Residents will assist in the provision of medical care of Jackson Memorial Hospital's pediatric patients. Patient care will be provided under the supervision of the pediatric attending physicians. The hospital, through its affiliation with the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and the school's faculty, provides an ACGME-approved Pediatric Training Program.


The Chief Resident duties will include administrative duties for the residency program, teaching medical students and residents, and providing clinical care in several general pediatric settings including wards, newborn nursery, general acute care, and outreach clinics. They will also be involved with curriculum development.
