Job Description:

LHH Recruitment Solutions has a beauty care product line Assistant Product Manager opening for our client in the North Wales, PA area. This direct hire role allows you elevate your product management career by planning, implementing, and coordinate product development not only in the United States, but with overseas vendors as well! This on-site position requires a minimum of 1-2 years of beauty products and/or chemical based product management experience as well as a very strong and proven experience in vendor management and negotiations, purchasing, and pricing. A bachelor's degree is REQUIRED as is beauty products experience. Bilingual abilities a plus!

Salary range: $75,000 to $100,000 DOE.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the product lifecycle of numerous product lines, including development from initial concept to final production of product.
  • Creation of key brand elements turned marketing strategies.
  • Continuously and proactively engage with overseas vendors to ensure correct product positioning.
  • Understand and know how to read market specific trends, identify marketing opportunities and establish brand dominance.
  • Creation of, development of, lead, and execution of purchasing strategies with vendors around the world.
  • Identify, connect with and manage vendors with new products in development, samples, production, quality control & assurance, etc.
  • Manage initial PO planning of new products.
  • Create and implement negotiation strategies for new product pricing, COG targets and schedule for a full turnkey production.
  • Oversee requests of quotations based on forecasting and MOQ.
  • Initiate pricing strategies which include - such as RC, MSRP - promotions, based on product positioning strategies and planning.
  • P&L analysis involving but not limited to; reviews of sales, costs, profit projections, re-order planning rates, etc. for a new product to meet company objectives and goals.
  • Partake and provide input on R&D product concepts to finalize product development, packaging & display, managing timelines on production, testing, and launch date.
  • Partake and provide input for product testing to ensure quality, develop direction and provide restructuring details for product claims.
  • Implement, monitor, track and report on key metrics/KPI's to reduce costs and improve efficiencies.
  • Assist in sales and marketing strategic product releases.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Proven experience in beauty products and/or chemicals product management.
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Must be able to behave ethically whilst making clear decisions with a sense of urgency and the organizations best interest.
  • Must have proven product management experience in beauty product lines and/or chemicals.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with purchasing and design staff, R&D staff, lab staff, etc. in a positive and efficient manner.
  • Must possess strong detail attention as well as highly analytical skillset.
  • Must have proven clear and effective communication skills written and verbally.
  • Must be willing to work closely with management to consistently improve process and procedure, costs savings, schedule planning, maintenance, and safety methods.
