Addison Group is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Tax Manager to join a large publicly traded Fortune 200 client based in Chicago, IL.
As a key member of this corporate tax department, you will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of federal, state, and local tax accounting, compliance, and research. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in corporate tax compliance and provisioning.
Responsibilities:
Preparing, reviewing, and documenting supporting calculations and tax accounting positions as well as executing internal review controls
Preparing and reviewing federal and state income tax calculations, income tax returns, extensions, and estimated tax payments, as well as researching and documenting income tax positions.
Lead the financial tax forecasting process to ensure accurate and timely reporting
Independently research and conclude on various complex tax issues to determine the appropriate tax treatment and related reporting
Analyze and interpret changes to federal and state tax laws as well as communicate financial impact of changes
Mentor and develop staff including providing feedback and direction on assignments and projects
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
Minimum 7 years of professional tax experience
CPA preferred but not required
Proficient analytical ability to resolve complex, technical issues
