Our client, a leading pharmaceutical agency in New York City, is looking to fill the role of Freelance Senior Editor. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of editorial expertise, medical/pharma background, and experience working with various communication formats. In this role, you will collaborate closely with a team of editors, project managers, and writers to edit and refine materials targeted at healthcare professionals. This position will be hybrid and based out of the New York office.
Responsibilities:
Edit a variety of materials including detail aids, sell sheets, PowerPoint presentations, websites, banners, and digital copy.
Ensure all content adheres to AMA style guidelines and maintains accuracy, consistency, and clarity.
Collaborate with writers and subject matter experts to enhance the quality and effectiveness of communication materials.
Utilize medical/pharma knowledge to ensure content is relevant, informative, and compliant with industry regulations.
Review materials for accuracy of medical terminology, data, and references.
Participate in content planning meetings and provide editorial input on project strategies and objectives.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of editorial experience, preferably in a medical/pharmaceutical context.
Strong understanding of medical terminology, pharmaceutical industry regulations, and healthcare trends.
Proficiency in AMA style guidelines.
Experience creating content for healthcare professionals (HCPs) is highly desirable.
