Our client, a Video Game Studio, is seeking a Senior AI Designer to join its team!
RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with the design team to define the AI requirements and goals for the game.
Design and develop AI behaviors, decision-making systems, and mechanics that enhance player interactions with non-player characters (NPCs) and enemies.
Create robust AI systems that adapt and respond to player actions and dynamically adjust the game's challenge level.
Collaborate with engineers, artists, animators, and sound designers to ensure seamless integration of AI behaviors into the game world.
Conduct extensive playtesting and iterate on AI systems based on player feedback to achieve optimal balance and gameplay experience.
REQUIREMENTS
Solid understanding of game design principles and mechanics, with a focus on AI-driven gameplay.
Working knowledge of C-based languages.
The ideal candidate should have prior experience developing and executing AI systems utilizing UE blueprints.
Familiarity with AI techniques, such as pathfinding and behavior trees.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to debug and optimize AI systems for performance and stability.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Passion for video games and a desire to push the boundaries of AI technology in gaming.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in an AI Design role.
Experience working on tactical shooters, preferably first-or-third-person games
Frequent player of action-oriented videogames
Familiarity with Unreal Engine 4 is highly recommended.
