Doherty Career Solutions is partnering with a local Plato, MN company as they search for a Drafter to join the thriving team. The purpose of the Drafter is to develop working drawings of product, enabling manufacturing to build product to customer specifications. This position is on site but may have opportunity for flexibility in the future. Salary for this role will range depending upon experience but will likely be within $25.00-30.00 plus benefits and opportunity to grow.
Required Education and Experience:
Two-year drafting degree. On the job training.
Ability to enter and verify information in word processing programs, spreadsheets, email programs, AutoCAD, and internally developed applications.

Position Overview:
Interprets and understands specifications/drawings on all standard catalog items.
Accurately applies these specifications to drawing of specialized cabinetry, maintaining consistency.
Assists in problem solving related to manufacturing from specialized drawings.
Actively participate in creations, updates and revisions to specification catalog.
Meets schedules by timely completions of drawing tasks.
Provides telephone contact with dealers to clarify and complete drawings for production.
Work from verbal instructions and sketches; data given may be relatively incomplete and require interpretation.
Make suggestions for improvement to processes.
Answer questions from dealers on product design and similar topics.
Complete required volume of tasks while maintaining quality of work.
