One of the biggest names in editorial and entertainment is seeking a freelance Social Media Designer to join their team for a three month contract opportunity. The ideal candidate will be a Visual Designer with a recent emphasis on static social media content. This position will be fully remote.
Responsibilities:
Creating engaging social media assets to drive subscription acquisitions
Utilize creativity and strong graphic design skills to develop original content for various social media platforms
Collaborate with the team to brainstorm and implement effective strategies for social media engagement
Minimum of 5 years of experience, with a significant portion spent working on social media platforms
Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly in Photoshop
Problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to evolving project requirements
Excellent communication skills and self-motivation
Required Qualifications:
Some college experience preferred, with SCAD (School of Art and Design) curriculum being highly valued
Experience in social media/content space preferred (e.g., movie studio, publishing, media company)
No video experience required; focus is on graphic design for social media
Remote work with flexible hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm EST, with some flexibility)
Short-term 3-month assignment with potential for extension (no guarantees)
No travel required; candidate must have their own computer and access to necessary systems
