We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Color Materials Designer to join a thriving lifestyle brand. As a Color , Material and Fabric Designer, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and innovative color, material, and finish designs for our product lines.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the design team to develop creative and cost-effective color and material solutions that align with our brand identity.
- Conduct research on current market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive products to inform your design decisions.
- Create detailed tech packs that accurately communicate color application and graphic design specifications.
- Work closely with product line management and development teams to ensure timely delivery of color-related elements in accordance with project timelines.
- Travel occasionally to manufacturing facilities for product development purposes.
- Stay current with advancements in materials technology and apply them effectively in your designs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Fashion, Textiles or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in color/materials design within the footwear or product side.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator for creating visual designs is essential.
- Strong understanding of footwear, graphics design and construction techniques and materials selection processes.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
