Job Description:

This role entails serving as a CAD/BIM designer within the Water Business Unit, crafting engineering construction documents for diverse clients and projects, thereby supporting the overarching vision and goals of the Business Unit. The ideal candidate possesses substantial experience in utility design for municipal ventures.

Responsibilities include employing proficient technical skills to create utility designs, construction plans, and permit packages, thus contributing significantly to fostering a culture of ongoing innovation. This individual will actively contribute to problem-solving endeavors through critical thinking, ultimately bolstering the success of the Water Business Unit and our clients.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WILL INCLUDE:
  • Collaborating with project leads and assisting project teams with design and drafting tasks.
  • Supporting project development and content maintenance.
  • Staying abreast of current and future project requirements.
  • Participating in the evaluation and testing of new design technologies and workflows.
  • Remaining informed about the latest industry trends in design technology content creation and management.

WHAT YOU NEED:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Civil AEC (minimum 5 years).
  • Preferably 3-5 years' experience in Civil infrastructure (Water/Wastewater).
  • Proficiency in software such as Autodesk, Revit, AutoCAD, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Aptitude and willingness to rapidly learn new technologies.
  • Strong technical acumen in MS Office, Bluebeam Revu, and Adobe products.
  • Technological enthusiasm and a proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills, self-motivation, enthusiasm, and flexibility.

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT:
  • Knowledge and experience with Autodesk Inventor, Solidworks, and other 3D modeling software.
  • Familiarity with Autodesk BIM 360, Revit Site Designer, and Revit Add-ins.
  • Experience with Autodesk Infraworks and Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant projects.
  • Understanding of industry and local client standards.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint and Bentley MicroStation.
