Title: Payroll Manager
Location: Melville/Long Island
Salary: $90,000-$110,000
Overview:
The Payroll Manager will be responsible for overseeing the payroll process for time worked and completing reporting requirements to support the daily operations of Always Compassionate Health. He/She duties include comparing Department of Labor & IRS laws to current policies, procedures, and practices then implementing requirements for compliance in the weekly processing of payroll.
***The position is based on site (Monday-Friday) at our Melville/Long Island headquarters.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee the payroll process to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including employee compensation, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
Working in tandem with the Director of Payroll and Benefits to process payrolls timely, accurately, and efficiently.
Ensure processing of payroll updates, new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates, as needed.
Review/update payroll processes and procedures, as needed.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and related employment laws and best practices.
Analyze related payroll/benefits data and prepare reports, as required. Ensure data is audit-ready.
Facilitate monthly audits of the HRIS system data for accuracy.
Perform other related functions and ad hoc projects, as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related field required
A minimum of 3 years of payroll processing functions including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes
Experience with Workday required
Knowledge of Deparment of Labor, IRS, and other compensation laws throughout NY state.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Supervisory experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
