EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
Mason City Police Department is currently accepting applications for
Full and Part-Time Patrol Officers.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATION:
- Must be a United States Citizen
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Part-time or Full-time Police Officer Certification preferred
- Must possess, or be able to obtain prior to employment, a valid Illinois Driver’s License and have a satisfactory driving record
- Must possess, or be able to obtain prior to employment, a valid Illinois Firearm Owner’s Identification (FOID) Card
- Cannot ever have been convicted of any felony offense
- Cannot ever have been convicted of any misdemeanor offense involving domestic battery
- Must be a High School graduate or equivalent
ALL QUALIFIED APPLICANTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO:
- Pass an oral interview
- Pass an extensive background investigation
- Provide proof of highest level of education obtained
- Provide proof of military service
- Provide any supporting documentation of ILETSB certified training
STARTING PAY:
- Base pay $25.00 per hour, increases set by collective bargaining agreement
- Holiday pay rates, overtime, and other bonus rates apply
