JOB SUMMARY:



Facilities Technician II will perform the everyday maintenance of assigned facilities in NJ and PA at either the dealership or corporate locations. The role is a working position designed to evaluate and maintain buildings and properties up to the Holman standard. The Tech may be asked to work on specially designed tasks, such as construction projects or tasks that bring them to outlying properties within the northeast region.



ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:



  • Complete routine maintenance and repairs to assigned buildings

  • Coordinate facilities work and inspections with contractors and/or appropriate local authorities

  • Perform facilities/building/grounds inspections and generates reports to take corrective action

  • Assures all properties have proper posted documentation to meet government code compliance

  • Inspections on building systems to assure proper operation and in compliance with state regulations

  • Follows strategy based diagnosis protocol to identify where problems exist

  • Ensure that all paperwork is complete, accurate, and legible and finished in a timely fashion

  • Supporting fellow level I & II technicians

  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned

  • Support local projects by partnering with the Project Management team

  • Continue to develop additional technical skills, as appropriate, to enable flexibility in work assignments

  • Maintain a clean, safe and well organized work area

  • Properly maintain tools and equipment when performing service work and follow correct safety practices

  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned

  • Bucket truck, lifts, and trailers




WORK ENVIRONMENT:



Indoor & outdoor: Varies depending on job, can be as little as 0% or up to 100%


Noise: Occasional - levels vary with power tool use. Hearing protection required when using power tools.


Dust/Fumes/Gases/Odors: Occasional, dependent upon the tasks being performed.


Chemicals: General cleaning and maintenance products.



EDUCATION OR TRAINING REQUIRED:



  • 4+ years in construction, maintenance, property management or related experience

  • Understanding of all trades (Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing, HVACR, Masonry, and Specialty Trades)

  • Understanding of Property Operations Management procedures, processes, and core values

  • Education- trade license, or equitant experience and training programs

  • Key Competencies: Collaboration, Negotiation, Procurement, Project Management, Clear Articulator, Strategy Development, Interpersonal Relations

  • Must have excellent customer service skills and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and vendors

  • Must be able to navigate Cherwell, Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and multiple apps

  • Additional education, certifications, or related-experience is generally preferred

  • Knowledge of general building repair

  • Possess a valid driver license

  • Proficient with hand tools

  • Proficient with computers and software

Pay:



We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $22.86 - $33.15 USD per hour.
