Job Title:Automotive and Equipment Inventory Control SpecialistDepartment:Administration and Planning | TTM Fleet Administration

As a member of the Transportation and Traffic Management team this fast paced and demanding position is responsible for daily operations and oversight of the secured inventory room staff. Maintains stock inventory levels and makes inventory level suggestions to management. Monitors for obsolete parts and performs process to remove obsolete parts from inventory. Returns part cores to vendors. Files warranty claims with vendors. Processes invoices and credit memos. Performs cyclical inventory counts. Coordinating activities for full time classified civil service staff, student employees and performing inventory control duties. Assigns tasks to ensure operational processes are completed. Provides process training for new employees and refresher training for existing employees. Serves as primary point of contact with vendors regarding parts inventory, and vendor relationships. Oversight of fuel operations, monitoring levels and ordering, ensuring preventative maintenance is completed, prepares reporting for finance and Fire Marshall. Completes logs and ensures all regulations related to fuel are followed.




MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree in relevant field may be desirable. 4 years of relevant experience required. 4-8 years of relevant experience preferred.




Desired qualifications:


The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of automotive and equipment repair shop operations, automotive repair parts up to and including class 8 applications, and landscape and grounds maintenance equipment parts. Five years of experience supervising staff. Previous inventory control experience including stocking level, obsolescent parts, and creative sourcing. Proficient with data entry applications, Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook, and Word. Demonstrates the ability to prepare professional business documents, and proficiently types using proper case and grammar.



Desired education:


Bachelor's degree or five years' experience in related field. Current ASE Parts certifications or able to pass certification tests within six months of hire.

Pay range: $23.94 - $31.92 per hour.
