Job Title:Office Services CoordinatorDepartment:Dentistry | Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Anesthesiology

The Ohio State University College of Dentistry is seeking a Dental receptionist for its Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Anesthesiology (OMFS). OMFS offers a full scope of surgical techniques for a variety of problems of the face and mouth. Many of our faculty surgeons have particular expertise in select sub-specialties, including temporomandibular disorder, nerve repair, orthognathic surgery, and cleft lip and palate repair.




The Ohio State University College of Dentistry is the fourth largest public dental school in the United States and it is the only public dental school in Ohio. The college is divided into ten divisions with all major ADA-recognized dental specialties represented. The College has approximately 600 students in its undergraduate and graduate programs.




Provides administrative/clerical support to the faculty, residents, and management staff of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Anesthesiology Division in the College of Dentistry; prepares correspondence and exams; reviews evaluation reports; coordinates lectures and meetings for faculty; records statistical clinical data; records and maintains resident information; assists in the coordination of the programs including accreditation; assists in the preparation and distribution of program materials; provides information to the public regarding programs; assists with coordination of externship programs; maintains compliance records; proctors examinations; acts as liaison between program applicants and Program Director; provides administrative support to the Operations Manager (including assistance with scheduling, organization, creation of spreadsheets and documents, data entry, and work on special projects); performs general office clerical tasks.





Schedule:


Monday - Friday 7:30-4:30





Hourly Range:


$15.29 - $20.41/hour based on experience




This position requires successful completion of a criminal background check and drug and alcohol screening.




Work is performed primarily in an office environment and the employee in this class is subject to inside environmental conditions. This position requires sustained periods using a keyboard and performing other computer work. Requires sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, which permits the employee to function in a general office environment to accomplish tasks.



Required: One year experience using computers to generate a variety of materials ranging from basic to complex, office practices and procedures, and customer service.



Desired: 2-3 years' experience managing confidential records; expertise with Microsoft Office; experience with OSU systems and procedures
