Floor Support Lead (Bilingual) – Geek Squad City - 2nd shift at Best Buy in Brooks, Kentucky

Job Description:

As the Bilingual Floor Support Lead at Geek Squad City, you’ll assist non-English speaking employees with the translation of e-learnings, job skills training, safety and security procedures, and compliance with standard operating procedures. You’ll provide employees with translated work direction and will work closely with leaders to translate feedback, coaching and goal setting. You’ll also partner leaders and human resources during the hiring process and for any workplace concerns for non-English speaking employees.

What you’ll do


  • Support the recruiting, hiring and onboarding processes for candidates, hiring managers and human resources. Support candidates in completing applications and interviewing

  • Help coach, develop and train team members on performance expectations. Support leaders in coaching and recognition by translating for employees

  • Ensure completion and understanding of e-learnings, trainings and standard operating procedures

  • Ensure employees understand departmental policies and procedures

  • Provide support with the delivery of talent evaluations and performance development discussions

  • Navigate conversations with respect, confidentiality and when needed, report concerns to human resources and/or the employee relations team for additional support

Basic qualifications

  • Fluent in both Spanish and English, and capable of translating both written and verbal communication

  • Able to stand and sit for long periods of time

  • Able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment

  • Able to maneuver weight up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation

  • Availability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.

  • 1 year of experience in a consumer-facing or help desk environment.

  • Intermediate experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook etc.)

Preferred qualifications

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • 1 year of experience in safety and security, repair, health, and/or parts and product teams

  • Consumer electronics and/or appliance manufacture repair certification

  • 1 year of experience working with OSHA requirements and standards

  • 6 months of leadership experience

  • Previous experience with hiring and training

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
