Job Description: We are seeking a highly experienced Procurement Manager to lead our procurement efforts. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of direct managerial experience as a Procurement or Purchasing Manager in a small to mid-sized company. They must thrive in making critical decisions independently within a fast-paced, high-stress production environment. The Procurement Manager will oversee all procurement activities, establish key performance indicators (KPIs), lead shortage meetings, and ensure seamless operations while upholding quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the procurement team and oversee all procurement activities, including sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiations.
  2. Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet operational and financial objectives, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely acquisition of goods and services.
  3. Establish and monitor KPIs to measure procurement performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  4. Conduct shortage meetings to address inventory gaps and develop action plans to mitigate risks and ensure uninterrupted production.
  5. Identify potential suppliers, conduct vendor assessments, and negotiate contracts to obtain the best terms and pricing.
  6. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.
  7. Utilize high-level Microsoft Excel skills to analyze data, track procurement metrics, and generate reports for senior management.
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand procurement needs and requirements, and ensure alignment with production schedules and inventory levels.
  9. Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and regulatory requirements to inform procurement decisions and mitigate risks.
  10. Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to procurement team members to foster a high-performing and collaborative team environment.


Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of direct managerial experience as a Procurement or Purchasing Manager in a small to mid-sized company.
  3. Comfortable making independent decisions without needing frequent approval escalation.
  4. Experience establishing KPIs, leading shortage meetings, and working in a fast-paced, high-stress production environment.
  5. High-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and tracking procurement metrics.
  6. Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships.
  7. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  8. Familiarity with procurement software and systems is preferred.
