Job Description:
JOB TITLE: Civil Estimator / Project Estimator
POSITION: Full Time
Location: Dayton, OH (Onsite)
Position Responsibilities:
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in estimating excavating projects.
Proficiency in Trimble Business Center for earthwork estimating and HCSS Heavy Bid for bidding and project management.
Strong analytical and mathematical aptitude with attention to details.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Effective time management and organizational abilities.
Competency in interpreting blueprints, specifications, and geotechnical reports.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-related software.
An associate or bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducting detailed utility and earthwork take-offs using Trimble Business Center.
Soliciting pricing from vendors and subcontractors for required materials and specialized work.
Developing accurate cost estimates and bid proposals.
Creating budgets for secured projects.
Preparing subcontracts and purchase orders.
Assisting Project Managers during their absence.
Fulfilling other assigned duties as required.
