Purpose



In pursuit of our mission to help communities implement just and sustainable responses to hunger, poverty, displacement and disaster, CWS has a thriving and dynamic family of programs worldwide.


We are seeking a student intern to support the development of digital storytelling content for CWS social media channels. The Digital Communications Intern will develop creative educational and advocacy content; researching articles, stories, and resources to generate relevant and on-brand social media content. Depending on interest, this role can include creating video and creative instagram content, researching and drafting educational content, and supporting refugee civic engagement campaigns ahead of the 2024 elections.



Qualifications

• Must be a current student enrolled in university and able to earn credit for internship hours


• Interns must be able to commit 15-20 hours a week in this role.


• A demonstrated strength in concise, persuasive writing, and creative design;


• Experience working in Canva and Meta business suite


• Demonstrated interest in CWS' mission


• Familiarity with global development, humanitarian response and refugee resettlement programs as well as with immigration issues preferred


• Interest in developing new skills related to digital communications is highly encouraged.
