We are looking for a corporate tax accountant to join our North American tax team. This position will assist with preparing federal and state taxes for Toshiba America, Inc. and our consolidated group of North American companies. This position is based in Irvine, CA and is eligible for remote work arrangements.
REQUIREMENTS:
BS/BA Accounting or related field or an equivalent combination of education and related business experience.
CPA preferred.
2-5 years of corporate tax specialization.
Knowledge of federal and multi-state tax compliance.
Experience conducting tax research.
Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy.
Superior analytical skills with the ability to consider a broad range of factors and to develop new processes as may be necessary.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and persuade with diplomacy.
Proven track record of building consensus, collaborating across function lines, and developing strong business relationships.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Outlook and Oracle accounting module. Knowledge with "OneSource" income tax software system is highly preferred.
Working experience with multi-national high technology sales & marketing companies is preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with federal and state income and franchise tax returns for the consolidated group of companies.
Assist with the federal and state income tax estimated tax payments and extensions.
Gather and prepare documentation related to the company's income tax provision.
Preparation of Foreign Bank Account Information Report
Responsible for the preparation of business licenses, annual reports, and other miscellaneous tax filings
Assist with the outsourcing sales tax and property tax compliance functions.
Assist in the process of tax audits with various external auditors and tax advisors, federal, state, and local governmental agencies.
Responsible for monitoring and updating tax calendar.
Perform other duties as may be assigned.
