The LPN provides assistance the physicians to provide patient care in the clinical setting within our ENT Allergy Department, performing allergy skin testing and immunotherapy for allergy patients.Minimum Required: High School Diploma or GED. Preferred: Associates Degree. | Required: State of Ohio LPN license, BLS. | A minimum of one year allergy clinic experience preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
• Completion of LPN training program required.
• Electronic medical record knowledge and basic computer skills needed.
• Articulate effectively to patients regarding patients regarding procedures, medication changes, etc.PATIENT POPULATION - (CLINICAL ONLY):

Engages in population appropriate communication.

Has knowledge of growth and development milestones and tasks.

Gives clear instructions to patients/family regarding treatment.

Involves family/guardian in the assessment, initial treatment and continuing care of the patient.

Identifies any physical limitations of the patient and deploys intervention when necessary.

Recognizes and responds appropriately to patients/families with behavioral health problems.

Interprets population related data and plans care appropriately.

Identifies and responds appropriately to different needs resulting from, unique psychological needs or those associated with religious / cultural norms. Performs treatments, administers medication or operates equipment safely.

Recognizes and responds to signs/symptoms of abuse or neglect.

Assisting MD in clinic by preloading, rooming patients in timely manner and clinic follow-up:

Scheduling of procedures with patient education.

Maintain MD clinic schedules and coordinate with on-call schedules.

Prepare patient chart by preloading medical updates, changes, testing, and prior to each visit. \

Assists the physician in documenting notes and in doing orders and prescriptions by setting them up in the Electronic Medical Record. All documents, prescriptions, and orders will be pended to the physician to review, edit, and sign as appropriate.

Update medication lists, patient history, etc at each visit.

Stocking exam rooms, maintain medical supply inventory.

Attend required training sessions, including lab safety, blood borne pathogens, OSHA, etc.

Assist with patient scheduling as needed.

Vital signs, assists MD with any office procedures as needed.

Communicating with MD's regarding patient calls, refills, coordination of patient care.
