Who we are looking for

The Real Money Funds Team is looking for a credit analyst/administrator to manage a portfolio of mutual fund names. The credit analyst/administrator will also take an active role in supporting the Account Officer in the management of deals. The Real Money Funds team is part of the Global Credit Finance division. The team is comprised of approximately 15 employees based in Boston.

Why this role is important to us

The Real Money Funds Team is responsible for a $23 billion portfolio of credit facilities to regulated mutual funds. Many of the team's clients are part of larger valuable relationships to State Street Bank. The team is responsible for analyzing the credit and negotiating legal documents for each of the credit facilities.

What you will be responsible for

As a Credit Analyst/Administrator you will:


  • Manage the credit analysis of a portfolio of mutual fund lending clients. This will entail analyzing fund financial statements and offering documents, keeping apprised of market news and producing a credit approval paper for each client in the portfolio.

  • Oversee borrower changes within your portfolio of deals, including adding new borrowers, removing borrowers and borrower name changes. This will include communication with Account Officers, clients and external counsel.

  • Take an active role in assisting the Account Officer in the management of deals, including participating in legal negotiations and client calls.

  • Coordinate with Account Officers, ERM, GCF Business Support Team and Loan Operations on deal activity.

  • Analyze existing business unit processes and provide input on process improvements. Assist in implement new processes to create efficiencies.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting or related field

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in the financial industry

  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Bloomberg, a plus

Salary Range:
$70,000 - $115,000 Annual
