This role will be known as Senior Analyst, Financial Planning and Analysis among colleagues and within the PRO business. Within the broader SCJ organization, the job is graded as Senior Associate, Finance

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Analyst, Financial Planning and Analysis is responsible for the strategic and financial planning for the SCJ Professional - Canadian business including: (1) strategic & financial planning, (2) key business metrics, (3) sales reporting, and (4) price and margin enhancements. The position reports directly to the Manager - Financial Planning & Analysis and indirectly to senior level Sales and Marketing management. The individual must be a high calibre, self-starter, thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and seamlessly move between multiple objectives. The successful candidate will come from a background of operational finance, as well as possess strong analytical and systems skills, demonstrating improvement in business results.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Strategic & financial planning & analysis - Commercial P&L; supported by Sales & Margin (Volume, Price, Cost) by sku.

  • Business metrics reporting & analysis - Dashboard & KPI's.

  • Sales, pricing, and gross margin reporting & analysis; by product, customer & salesperson.

  • Gross Margin analysis - Volume, margin, mix by sku.

  • Commercial Monthly Management Report preparation.

  • Pricing Increase Analysis.

  • Drive financial results by increasing visibility to Commercial leadership of growth and profit drivers.

  • Provide reliable foundation for current and future sales incentive bonus programs.

  • Projects as required.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING


  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting required; Master's Degree preferred

  • 5+ years of progressive financial analysis experience

  • Financial planning, pricing and costing in a manufacturing environment experience required

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS


  • Demonstrated business and financial acumen while working with complex financial systems and data, modeling, and systems and solutions to enable enhanced business performance.

  • Advanced ERP systems skills (SAP preferred), as well as intermediate Excel, Word and PowerPoint .

  • Strong self-starter, proactive rather than reactive, works independently and collaboratively.

  • Comfortable working with a team in a fast-paced environment, and ability to prioritize/meet deadlines within specific time constraints.

  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.

Office work environment: Remote work available once a week for eligible employees after 90 days
