Kforce has a client that is seeking an Accounting Manager in Tampa, FL.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day operations of 6-8 accounting professionals
Accounting Manager will maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; Implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk
Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; Ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards
Recommends benchmarks that will be used to measure the company's performance and report business performance metrics frequently to drive long term success
Distributes financial information and helps field management staff understand financial position and reporting data
Work with FP&A colleagues in preparation of the annual budget and forecasts; Reports significant budget differences to management
As an Accounting Manager, you will provide key understanding to monthly financial variances to determine impact on the remainder of the year
Oversee cash application and approvals of payments
Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit
Participate in the development of and support the company's strategic plans Hiring, training, and retaining skilled accounting staff
Continually strives to improve data integrity and information reporting
Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration; Advanced degree a plus; CPA preferred
6-8 years or more related experience required
3+ years of management experience
Experience working across multiple departments with ability to facilitate conversations to develop cross functional solutions that balance the business needs of all constituents
Motivational team leader with prior management and supervisory skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to multitask across multiple projects/problems at any given time
Ability to analyze large sets of data and draw conclusions
Ability to problem solve, execute quickly, follow up, and prioritize
Experience in the industry a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
