The Dewitt Daughtry Family Department of Surgery Division Kidney and Kidney/Pancreas Transplantation


JOB DESCRIPTION


The position of Professor / Associate Professor/ Assistant professor of Clinical/ Tenure Surgery requires an M.D. degree and must be Board Certified or Board Eligible or foreign equivalent. This individual must also have completed a Transplant Fellowship. He or She must possess a Florida Medical License and a DEA certificate. This individual will be directly responsible to the Director of Kidney and Kidney/Pancreas Transplant, DeWitt Daughtry Family Department of Surgery.


This individual will be responsible for the clinical care in all aspects of pediatric and adult Kidney and Kidney/Pancreas transplant surgery including pre-transplant evaluation and post transplant care.


He or she will be involved in resident supervision at the University of Miami/ Jackson memorial Medical Center. In addition, this position may require teaching of students in both junior and senior elective programs as sponsored by this Division within the student's surgical experience. Attendance and supervision at the outpatient clinic may be required.


This individual will also be responsible for pursuing research protocols to fund experiments under his supervision.
