The University of Miami UHealth System is currently seeking a Senior Research Associate 2 to work at Soffer Clinical Research Center in Miami. The incumbent supports research activities under the direction of a principle investigator, program director or designee of the principle investigator or program director.



CORE JOB FUCNTIONS



1. Contributes to basic and applied research activities by collecting and analyzing data and maintaining databases.


2. Understands and interprets research protocols and procedures.


3. Participates in the publication of significant results.


4. Advances expertise through continued education, training, and research.


5. Maintains an overview of relevant research findings.


6. Ensures all research is undertaken according to good research practice.


7. Stays abreast of developments in the field which may impact department functions.


8. Provides guidance, mentorship, and oversight to junior research staff and students.


9. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.



Department Specific Functions

1. Responsible for recruiting, consenting, and enrolling study participants.
2. Responsible for participating in outreach and conducting assessments of potential study participants and those who enroll in the study.
3. Pre-screen potential participants for potential study eligibility using a brief screening assessment.
4. Responsible for administering all study assessments and providing participant incentives.
5. Will ensure all study assessments are scheduled for participants and notify participants of any upcoming appointments and assessments.
6. Responsible for the reporting of adverse and serious adverse events.
7. Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and protocol adherence.
8. Document and record study data .
9. Participate in all required in-person and remote trainings and meetings.
10. Will coordinate with clinic personnel for clinical data abstraction.
11. Other duties as assigned.
