SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified SWFTS Systems Engineer IV.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Job Summary: SEACORP's Tactical Solutions Business Area is seeking Systems Engineer IV, also known as lead systems analyst, who can also program, or a software engineer who can also manage networks, who oversees the creation of hybrid software, web and hardware products from initial specifications to final rollout and maintenance with the ability to interface with Fleet, Government, and Contractor personnel.
A SWFTS Systems Engineer is desired to work with the NUWC Newport team to provide technical support during the execution of these activities. The SWFTS System Engineer would be considered a part of the NUWC team and receive direction from the SWFTS Chief Engineer.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline (Advanced military technical training (e.g. Navy "C" School) and at least 7 years’ experience in military systems (e.g., service abroad a naval ship) can be substituted for a Bachelor's degree) and over 20 years of professional experience in systems engineering. The ideal candidate would have over 20 years Submarine Combat System experience and a master’s degree.
Experience: Required knowledge includes familiarity with SWFTS or Combat System products and activities such as Interface Management, Integration and Test, Systems Engineering, etc. Applicant should have understanding of the Technical Insertion (TI) Advanced Processor Build (APB) SWFTS update cycle with knowledge of the Baseline Change Request (BCR) process. Cybersecurity knowledge/experience with SWFTS posture transitions and IAT/IAM Certifications a plus.

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Office & Computer Laboratories - Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
