Environmental Technician-2nd shift at ManpowerGroup in Glencoe, Alabama

Job Description:

Clean Earth is seeking dedicated Environmental Technicians to join their team in the field of environmental sustainability. As an Environmental Technician, you will play a vital role in removing hazardous materials from the waste stream and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Consolidate, treat, store, transport, and/or dispose of hazardous waste.
• Operate forklift and other mobile equipment to move containers.
• Load and unload trailers.
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds throughout the workday.
• Stand and walk over uneven surfaces for extended periods.
• Work outdoors in all climate conditions and indoors in non-climate-controlled conditions.
• Wear company-issued personal protection equipment.

Hours: Full-time, with occasional nights, weekends, and variable schedules as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Ability to repeatedly lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Visual acuity to read labels and documentation.
• Ability to hear vehicle warning chimes and alarms.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to understand and respond to written and verbal English.
• Polite and professional demeanor with customers and coworkers.
