Job Summary: The senior accounting consultant is responsible for delivering high-level accounting expertise to clients or within the organization. They provide strategic advice, analysis, and guidance on complex accounting matters, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and process improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
Assist with budget preparation and GL reconciliations
Improve processes within the organization and accounting policies and procedures
Run month/quarter/year end close process
Review reconciliations of accounts and coordinate with various departments
Oversee financial statement preparation and review P&L statements
Perform financial analysis and reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Identify financial risks and recommend strategies for mitigation.
Assist in audit preparation and coordination, addressing auditor inquiries.
Evaluate existing accounting processes and systems, proposing improvements for efficiency.
Deliver training and support to staff members on accounting principles and software tools.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor.
Lead or participate in accounting-related projects, ensuring successful outcomes
Qualifications
BS Degree required (Accounting or Finance preferred)
5+ years' of professional experience
Prior consulting experience at the senior level a plus
