This role has overall responsibility for the Sales Tax function, including oversight of sales tax and certain other regulatory compliance services, and supervision of internal and/or external sales tax support staff. The incumbent is responsible for investigating and resolving a wide variety of sales tax questions as they arise in the course of business, as well as determining sales tax positions in relation to sales tax rules and regulations. The incumbent implements and manages the Vertex O Sales Tax Software system and processes changes for new product offerings and channels, regulatory and legal changes and other adaptations to changing business and regulatory environments. The role also includes the management of sales tax audits when subject to examination by a state revenue authority. In addition, the role is responsible for internal invoice testing for new products and annual changes, maintaining a large exemption database, and collaborating with internal and external customers.
