Energy Division/ Bldg Decarb & Gas Policy & Reliability/ Gas & Oil Pipeline Costs & Rates:
Under general direction of the Project and Program Supervisor, the senior energy regulatory analyst will advise and assist decision-makers such as Commissioners, Judges, and Energy Division management, in regulatory proceedings. The senior analyst will act as a team leader and project coordinator on natural gas transmission, storage and distribution systems proceedings and projects. The senior analyst will perform analyses and provide recommendations on regulatory and policy issues in CPUC ratemaking proceedings. The senior analyst will review and analyze proposed legislative bills, and oversee implementation of programs that result from CPUC decisions and legislative processes.
The senior analyst will verify compliance with ratemaking proceedings, CPUC rules and policies, review and analyze advice letters, and prepare appropriate dispositions and resolutions. The senior analyst will conduct workshops, meet and collaborate with utilities and other stakeholders. The senior analyst will review costs utility ratemaking accounts for reasonableness, and identify considerations and solutions related to various policy proposals and/or issues, including rates, social equity and environmental justice.
The senior analyst will perform other work as necessary, such as writing and presenting reports, coordinating with other California organizations and agencies (e.g., the California Energy Commission, the California Air Resources Board), and responding to outside inquiries.
