Job Summary:



Everest IT is looking for a seasoned DBA with strong technical skill and some leadership experience. The person will help lead Everest DBA team to provide 24x7 support for Everest's database infrastructure.




Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• SQL Server Performance Tuning - Troubleshooting, Performance Monitoring and Tuning.
  
  


• SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Group installation/maintenance/troubleshooting.
  
  


• Ensure DBA team is closing out requests in DBAs' ServiceNow queue without delay.
  
  


• Documentation of Runbooks/Procedures.
  
  


• Enforce SOX standards, Compliance and Audits.
  
  


• Assist in management of onshore and offshore DBA teams.
  
  


• Assist in conducting technical trainings and knowledge transfer within DBA team.
  
  

Qualifications, Education & Experience:

• The ideal candidate should have at least 15 years of DBA experience supporting Microsoft SQL Server.
  
  


• Experience as database developer is strongly desired.
  
  


• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  
  


• A least one year experience as team lead or manager.
  
  


• Experience working with offshore team in different time zone.
  
  

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:

• Expert level T-SQL programming skill is essential.
  
  


• Strong experience with database development and SQL/index tuning.
  
  


• Solid understanding of SDLC.
  
  


• Strong Problem solving/troubleshooting abilities.
  
  

Working knowledge of ServiceNow is desired.
