Salary: $83,000.00 USD Annually - $100,000.00 USD Annually

Description: Our client is currently seeking an Industrial Tool Room Manager for our Eagan, MN client.


As the Tool Room Manager, you'll oversee all tool room and warehouse operations, providing crucial support to field millwright projects. This role entails daily management of equipment, tooling, and trucking requirements for field projects, along with scheduling drivers for equipment deliveries to and from job sites in the Twin Cities and surrounding areas. You'll also oversee maintenance for trucking, equipment, and small tooling, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations across the company's small trucking fleet.


Your Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain accountability among direct reports (drivers, mechanics, and tool room assistants) through effective leadership and management.


• Receive tooling and equipment requests from Field Project Managers, validate completeness, and assess feasibility for requested dates.


• Implement an organized system for tooling inventory and manage check-in/check-out procedures for field tooling and equipment.


• Assist in loading and unloading trucks and trailers, ensuring adherence to safe load procedures and proper securing of loads.


• Schedule drivers and deliveries, prioritizing tasks on a daily basis.


• Coordinate equipment repairs in response to breakdowns and ensure timely completion of planned and unplanned maintenance tasks.


• Ensure DOT compliance for the trucking fleet and maintain driver qualification files.


• Manage the tool room budget, including replacement and growth tooling needs, while maintaining tools in safe and operational condition.


• Facilitate communication across departments to ensure accurate tracking of assets on job sites.


• Undertake other assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in millwright or industrial tools and equipment.


• 5+ years of experience in a millwright, mechanic, or related field.


• Previous experience in managing personnel and resources.


• Familiarity with DOT and FMCSA regulations.


• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.


• Competent in using computer systems and Microsoft Suite applications.
