Technical Trainer at Plastipak Packaging Inc. in Plant City, Florida

Job Description:

As a Technical Trainer, you will interface with various departments to address training needs and assist with workforce development. This position involves administering safety & training policies, programs, and practices: specifically the planning, organizing, developing, implementing, coordinating, and facilitating training. In general, duties include formalizing process for the Human Resources Department and designing a systematic approach for organizational effectiveness.

You Will

• Develop, coordinate, and administer effective safety and training programs.


• Prepare, recommend, and implement safety related procedures.


• Conduct periodic technical training assessments and designs plans/ tools for workforce development, and then executes the training.


• Work cohesively with HR Professional to devise, prepare, and deliver orientation to newly hired associates (Skill Block, OSHA, Safety Work Instruction).


• Organize and maintain associate training records/ files.


• Coordinate safety related programs (i.e., Safety Challenge).

You Have

• Excellent communication (verbal & written) and facilitation skills.


• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or science related degree preferred


• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and training manuals.


• Working knowledge of extrusion or blow molding equipment is preferred


• Solid analytical, planning and organization skills.


• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation
