A Day in the Life

As a Test Engineer II, you will be responsible for the end-to-end process involved with demonstrating that our System meets our product requirements.

This includes:

Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment towards system and sub-system requirements

§ Reviewing and providing feedback on product requirements

§ Reviewing design descriptions of controls, software, and hardware to understand how System operates with respect to requirements

§ Perform Root Cause Analysis by investigating negative test and/or analysis results, including getting hands-on in the lab with the System to troubleshoot test results

§ Developing Test Method Validation Protocols, executing Test Method Validation, and writing Test Method Validation Reports

§ Analyzing test data using statistical methods

§ Collaborating and communicating with cross-functional team members on verification plans, including project management, quality, regulatory, system architecture, design teams, software teams and testing teams

§ Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed.

Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements.

§ Providing guidance and oversight to test and/or analysis methods developed in support of the verification strategy

§ Analyzing system and/or subsystem designs and preparing verified-by-design reports

§ Determining regression impact from design and/or software changes

§ Planning needed testing activities, and participating in SCRUM processes as needed

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

§ Bachelor's degree in Engineering with minimum of 2 years of engineering experience or Advanced degree in Engineering with 0 years of engineering experience

Nice to Have

§ Strong understanding of complex, electro-mechanical, software-controlled devices

§ Strong understanding of Systems Engineering principles and tools

§ Strong understanding of troubleshooting and root cause analysis

§ Demonstrated use of statistical analysis tools commonly used in Engineering, preferably using Minitab.

§ Working knowledge of ISO 13485, ISO 14971, 21 CFR 820, IEC 60601-1 and MDD

§ Experience with robotics, especially robotic medical devices
