Job Summary

Responsible for performing machinery operations based on the standard operating procedures set forth by the company. Required to perform inspections on machinery/equipment assigned to verify that equipment is performing to designed capacity and operating under designed conditions and completes tasks assigned by department manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs and operate specific duties of machine/equipment assigned following standard operation procedures, including start-up and shutdown of machinery.
  • Responsible for completing routine inspections of machinery and completing various reports.
  • Verify that assigned machinery/equipment is equipped with appropriate safety covers/guards.
  • Responsible for reporting deficiencies and abnormal conditions to supervisor.
  • Maintain sanitary conditions of the production area and make sure to close all doors.
  • Use and store the designated utensils to transfer raw materials; maintain work area clean and free of any debris or the overflow products, including, but not limited to, sweeping surfaces and floors.
  • Accumulate the overflow products into the designated containers.
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Communication skills, understanding of basic arithmetic.

  • Required to stand, walk, talk, or hear, taste or smell.
  • Frequently required to use hands to fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
