The James M. Hull College of Business at Augusta University, in response to recent enrollment growth, seeks qualified applicants for a non-tenure track lecturer position in Economics/Finance with an anticipated employment start date of August 1, 2024. The course load will be 4 courses per semester term. Candidates should be prepared to deliver courses online, as hybrid online/face-to-face, and face-to-face with a strong preference for candidates who can combine these approaches in an assigned section.



Responsibilities



Teaching - 80%

Targeted courses to be taught by the selected candidate are in undergraduate courses of Economics and Finance



Scholarship - 10%

Quality Research to help maintain accreditation



Service - 10%

Service to the college via various committees



Required Qualifications


Masters Degree from an accredited university and work experience relevant to courses/classes.


Required faculty employment qualifications for all USG institutions and all academic ranks within these institutions shall be:


- Consistent with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC)'s requirements for institutional accreditation;


- Evidence of ability as a teacher;


- Evidence of activity as a scholar and ability in all other duties assigned;


- Successful experience (which will necessarily be waived for those just entering the academic profession who meet all other requirements); and,


- Desirable personal qualities judged on the basis of personal interview, complete biographical data, and recommendations.



Shift/Salary/Benefits


This position is academic year based and typically works August through May, depending on dates outlined in offer letter and yearly contract.


The intended work commitment or full-time equivalent (FTE) for this position is 1.0.


Salary and compensation is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements. The salary is subject to availability of funds.
