Description Overview

The HR Business Partner plays a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of the HR department. Their responsibilities encompass a wide range of tasks related to HR policies, employee management, and organizational well-being. The HR Business Partner will provide support to PVT site with the primary goal of partnering with functional leaders in support of the business strategy. In addition, the HR Business Partner will develop and administer policies and programs and serve as the liaison between Human Resources, Leaders and employees.

Scope of the Role

Policy Management:

  • Create, update, and enforce HR policies and company guidelines, ensuring compliance with legal standards and regulations.
  • Provides accurate and timely information to the staff about company programs, policies and procedures. Serves as the primary contact to managers on all Human Resources matters.
  • Ensures that company policies are followed consistently and fairly. Conducts internal investigations as appropriate.
  • Evaluates trends in employee morale, turnover, disciplinary action or other key indicators, and works with business unit managers to develop, implement and evaluate programs or activities which maintain productivity and morale

Onboarding and Education:

  • Develop onboarding programs to educating associates on internal procedures, HR policies, and regulations.
  • Facilitate the smooth transition of employees into the organization.

Record Keeping:

  • Maintain both physical and digital employee files, including documents related to benefits, attendance, and other records.

Employee Engagement:

  • Devise employee engagement plans, obtain necessary budget approvals, and initiate activities to foster a positive work environment.
  • Partners with client group leadership to establish and execute upon an effective talent strategy that directly supports short and long-term functional business goals
  • Collaborate with external vendors, upper management, and employees to uphold Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) standards, champion DE&I initiatives for the site and run the site’s local employer brand campaign.

Performance Evaluation and Discipline:

  • Advises functional leadership on ways to best manage employee performance, develop talent and drive overall employee engagement and enablement.
  • Address employee grievances and concerns, run policy-related investigations in a timely manner, advocate on behalf of employees and act as a mediator to resolve issues.

Experience Required

  • Excellent written/verbal communications skills and demonstrated ability to advise management on policies.
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability and people skills.
  • Group presentation and facilitation experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply policies and regulations to a wide variety of situations in the business environment including experience in a unionized manufacturing environment
  • Experience administering progressive discipline programs’
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing the employment relationship.
  • Personal computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to support a 24/7 operation by setting priorities and multitasking
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a proven HR Business Partner experience.
  • Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in human resources is preferred; combined with a minimum of 3-7 years of HR experience.
