The University of Chicago's Department of Surgery, Section of Vascular Surgery, seeks full-time faculty members at any rank. Appointees will have a clinical practice with the primary focus in diagnosing, treating, and prescribing treatment for foot, ankle, and other related structures. There will also be a strong focus in diabetic foot care and wound management. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.


Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent in podiatric medicine, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) have completed a post-graduate podiatric medicine and surgery residency approved by the Council of Podiatric Medical Education, and 4) be either surgical board qualified or certified.
