Job Summary

Performs installation, repairs, preventative and general maintenance on equipment and facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Install, repair, and maintain facility equipment.
  • Complete daily maintenance and repair logs.
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot systems and machine-down situations in the factory and diagnose complex equipment failures including mechanical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic control systems and ensures timely corrective action.
  • Perform mechanical repairs which may include welding, fabrications, assembling/disassembling items such as valves, pumps, production equipment and other mechanical/power transfer components.
  • Performs electrical repairs to buildings, fixtures, and equipment.
  • May redesign basic electrical, electronic, or mechanical systems for incorporation on existing manufacturing equipment.
  • Inspects, monitors, and troubleshoots heating and air conditioning units.
  • Under limited supervision, perform a variety of complex installations, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic manufacturing equipment.
  • Maintain facility HVAC, lighting, compressors, and ground maintenance.
  • Performs plumbing repairs, as well as new installations.
  • Estimates labor and equipment costs, prepares requisitions as required and maintains appropriate maintenance, inventory, and repair logs.
  • Assure all policies and procedures are followed and safety precautions are taken to reduce the risk of injury.
  • Works closely with other members of the maintenance team to ensure priority jobs are completed in a timely manner.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities


  • Expected to be on call.
  • Occasional travel may be necessary.
  • Occasional use of personal vehicles may be needed for pickup/delivery of machine parts.
  • May be required to train others in similar roles.
  • Other maintenance and facilities duties as assigned.
Experience and Education

Minimum of six years previous experience in the field.

Previous CNC, Coiling, 4slide and Wireform preventive maintenance

experience required.

Ability to work modified hours and overtime.

High school diploma or equivalent. Electrical License required.

Skills

Work from verbal instructions, maintenance schedules, blueprints, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals and/or written instructions.

Must have skills in motor and engine, single and 3-phase electric, pneumatic equipment,

PLCs, and general mechanical aptitude.

Must have computer literacy skills.

Strong initiative required to accomplish departmental and corporate objectives. Interpersonal communication and teamwork skills required.

Strong organizational skills required.

Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Good problem-solving skills and required to utilize continuous improvement skills.

Ability to perform diversified tasks.

Ability to demonstrate good customer service skills by being responsive and following up to customer needs.
