Job Description:

Job Summary: The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing the company's accounts receivable process, including invoicing customers, posting payments, and resolving billing discrepancies. This individual will play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate collections, maintaining positive relationships with customers, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.



Responsibilities:

• Generate and distribute customer invoices in accordance with billing schedules and contract terms


• Post customer payments to accounts receivable ledger and reconcile payments with invoices


• Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on past due accounts


• Communicate with customers to resolve billing inquiries, discrepancies, and disputes


• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address customer billing issues and inquiries


• Review credit balances and process refunds or adjustments as needed


• Prepare and analyze accounts receivable aging reports and other financial reports


• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and financial reporting


• Maintain organized and accurate accounts receivable files and records


• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development and implementation of best practices

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred


• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or similar role


• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with QuickBooks preferred)


• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and internal stakeholders


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment


• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices related to accounts receivable
