Job Description:

Position: TACEVAC Sr. Data Analyst

Location: Joint Base San Antonio

Work Environment: Onsite

Clearance Required: Secret 

Knowesis is looking for a TACEVAC Sr. Data Analyst to support the Defense Health Agency Joint Trauma System (JTS). The Sr. Data Analyst will support JTS in their mission of providing evidence-based process improvement of trauma and combat casualty care, to drive morbidity to the lowest possible levels, and to provide evidence-based recommendations on trauma care and trauma systems across the Department of Defense. The TACEVAC Sr. Data Analyst must have knowledge of the military trauma evacuation system. They will work within a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) utilizing multiple web sources for data to include Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet) web sources.

Candidates must have an active SECRET clearance and possess U.S. Citizenship without the need for sponsorship, both now and in the future.

 The Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:  

• Collecting comprehensive, accurate data relating to trauma patients evacuated from the Point of Injury (POI) to different levels of care by abstracting all TACEVAC flight data, verifying and updating all information compiled and enter data into the application Prehospital/Arrival Transport Data Fields utilizing the JTS DoDTR Business Rules.


• Assisting in facilitating the development and implementation of action plans related to TACEVAC process events across the continuum of care in collaboration with the JTS Chief and Pre-Hospital project manager.


• Serving as the DoD Point of Contact for all Patient Care Records completed in all Area of Responsibility’s throughout the different Combatant Commands.


• Providing quality assurance on TACEVAC data and spreadsheets, monitoring and providing quarterly status reports on TACEVAC productivity, data quality, problems and issues in order to ensure efficient and effective performance.


• Retrieving data from TACEVAC databases as needed for research and training.


• Submitting data files as appropriate to de-classification authority for availability as unclassified data.


• Generating, validating, and disseminating TACEVAC reports as directed.

Required Qualifications:   

• Have knowledge of the military trauma evacuation system


• Be experienced in working within a SCIF environment


• Possess an understanding of the different Combatant Commands


• Be experienced in data analysis with a keen eye for detail


• Be competent in basic computer skills to include Microsoft Office products

Preferred Qualifications:   

• Knowledge of and/or experience working within the JTS


• Experience abstracting TACEVAC data


• Experience working within the DoD Theater Medical Data Store (TMDS)

Required Education: 

• High School diploma
