About the Role

Martin & Zerfoss, Inc. is seeking a Claims Manager for a full-time role in Nashville, TN. The position has a hybrid work arrangement, with 2 days in-office and 3 days WFH after the initial in-person training period. This role will require some work out in the field. In this role, the Claims Manager will:
  • Oversee claims activities, from notification to closure, proactively investing the appropriate level of involvement for each claim.
  • Be a point of contact and resource for clients, helping to educate and guide them through the claims process when needed.
  • Maintain an extensive knowledge of insurance coverages and keep up to date on trends in the field of claims.
  • Proactively communicate with clients about the status of their claim, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
  • Build relationships with clients, carriers, other stakeholders, etc. to ensure the claims process is well managed from initiation to resolution.
  • Utilize Applied Epic to manage and track all work.

About you
  • 2+ years of claims experience.
  • Tennessee P&C Insurance License
  • Have an extensive knowledge of insurance coverages, markets and claims.
  • Must have exemplary internal and external customer service skills, with the ability to develop strong relationships with clients and claims partners.
  • Experience using an insurance management platform; Applied Epic highly preferred
  • Able to reliably commute to our West Nashville office two days a week after the initial training period, as well as able to meet with clients out in the field as needed.
  • The ability to analyze and interpret policy and claims information.
  • Exemplary organization, time management and prioritization skills with a focus on timeliness and completeness when interacting with clients, agency and company personnel.
  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or other related field desired, but not required.
  • Insurance designations are a plus.
  • High degree of professionalism along with excellent business writing and communication skills

Salary range between $65,000-$85,000/ year commensurate with experience
