The Community Investment Manager will work to transform multiple planes of data into strategic insights and revenue that create innovative solutions and outcome analysis to complex issues identified in our community. This position leads the community investment teams and oversees UWECI Investment Process; planning, decision-making, monitoring and outcome measurement. This position participates in and contributes to organizational strategic direction and represents the organization in a wide range of community projects and initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in research, data analysis, and project management. They will also be able to work independently and as part of a team, and they will have excellent communication and presentation skills.

Research, Analysis and Data Collection

  • Identify, gather, and organize complex data sets from relevant sources. Systematically analyze, synthesize, and present social, demographic, economic, and other community indicator data in a manner that facilitates decision making and problem solving.
  • Simplify complex data into user-friendly displays, reports, and digital content.
  • Serve as the lead and project manager for community needs assessments.
  • Project manage and track multiple data assignments and requests in the team's project management tool.
  • Assist Community Impact, Resource Development, Finance and Administration and Marketing teams on data organization, minor data manipulation, and data prep for analytical projects.
  • Create performance reports and dashboards to track community and organizational outcomes.

Grant Administration

  • Oversee the creation and management of grant-making processes and administration, including support for all grant-making documentation (solicitations, proposals, applications, recommendations, etc.) as well as document retention.
  • Coordinate and lead committees responsible for review of new funding opportunities.
  • Provide hands on training to grantees as it relates to grant administration and compliance policies.
  • Manage the due diligence process for each sub-grantee's ability to comply with governmental regulations with a thorough review of all their financial and operational policies.
  • Facilitate outcome-based allocation processes and reporting including, but not limited t semi-annual review process for all funded partners, oversight of Volunteer Review Team's annual funding process, and collecting and aggregating outcome measurement data.
  • Demonstrate effective group facilitation, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bring people together to execute tasks effectively and successfully.

  • Assist the team in completing external grant applications and reporting processes.
